February 7, 2020

Last year we had a shift in strategic direction with the launch of a new Vision, Mission, Values statement for the IBSA Group. This event was the first stage of ensuring we emphasise the strength of the IBSA Group’s offering and continue to provide a long-standing contribution to the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.

Since this time last year, the IBSA Group has seen significant growth and change. This growth saw us relocate offices to our new space at 289 Wellington Parade South, an exciting change to support the growing direction of the Group.

As we move into 2020, we look to continue pursuing the development of our two business areas, Australian Training Products and IBSA Manufacturing, working together towards the single purpose of ‘shaping workforce skills for the future’.

We start the year with a number of new appointments. Graeme Russell has commenced as the Chair of the Board, after many years serving as a Company Director. We also have a new member of the Board – Jodi Schmidt, and newly appointed General Manager of Australian Training Products – Jackson Docherty.

Jodi is an experienced CEO with a track record of successful business transformation and extensive experience in the VET sector.

Jackson has instigated projects to enhance collaboration between businesses in the Greater Geelong region and academia for the Victorian Government and opened new markets for Victoria University’s (VU) Polytechnic in China and Indonesia along with establishing VU’s Education and Technology Precinct in Werribee.

For the year ahead IBSA looks forward to supporting the VET Reform Roadmap in line with the COAG vision for a responsive, dynamic and trusted VET sector. I look forward to sharing our commentary and insights with you.
