Over the past few weeks IBSA representatives have been visiting key stakeholders including State and Territory Training Authorities (STA) in Perth, Hobart, Brisbane, Melbourne and Darwin.
The focus of our discussions with STAs has included key messages from 2019 Industry Skills Forecasts and the implications for workforce development and an update on Training Package development projects which are nearing completion. These discussions provided an opportunity to ensure that STAs were aware of key developments across projects.
We also identified areas of collaboration with a view to maximise the effectiveness of communication and consultation across each of the geographic footprints. As a result of these discussions industry forums and regional employer visits will take place in Western Australia later in the year.
IBSA Manufacturing also took the opportunity to visit key industry stakeholders including Incat, a shipbuilder renowned for construction of highspeed lightweight catamarans, in Hobart and PARTEC, a Plastic, Rubber and Composites Training Centre and significant provider in apprenticeship training, in Brisbane.
