IBSA has a long history of supporting the VET sector and skills development. In 2019, we sponsored two Skillaroos Josh Boon, Cabinetmaker, and Clinton Larkings, Industrial Mechanics Millwright, to compete in the 2019 WorldSkills Championships in Kazan, Russia.

Their skills helped Australia to finish 8th in the competition with Clinton achieving a silver medal alongside three other Australian bronze medal finalists in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Vehicle Painting.

In 2021, we sponsored the WorldSkills Australia National Championship categories of Fitting, Turning, Sheetmetal Technology and Construction Steel Work.

43 competitors competed to be crowned the best in their field and we would like to congratulate all competitors and medal winners. See photos below.
