Recently, IBSA Manufacturing conducted a two-day consultation and engagement program in Perth, addressing key industry groups, industry associations, training organisations and the State Government Training Authority.

The WA engagement process covered a detailed update on training package development and the opportunity to discuss the Industry Skills Forecast and emerging skills needs within the areas of:

  • Aerospace
  • Furnishing
  • Manufacturing & Engineering
  • Sustainability
  • Process Manufacturing, Recreational Vehicles & Laboratory
  • Textiles, Clothing & Footwear

IBSA presented at the Utilities, Engineering, Electrical and Automotive (UEEA) Training Council (UEEATC) forum, with attendees from industry, training organisations and Government departments, the forum specifically focused on Aerospace and Metals Engineering sectors.

IBSA also met with the State Training Authority of WA and provided a comprehensive overview of all training packages projects and Industry Skills Forecast’s within IBSA’s scope.

Another presentation was also conducted with the Food, Fibre & Timber Industries Training Council (FFTITC) covering:

  • Design of kitchens, bathrooms & Interior spaces
  • Glass & glazing
  • Furnishing

Presentations and discussions were also undertaken with the South Metropolitan TAFE Locksmithing Industry Advisory Group and North Metropolitan TAFE Jewellery teachers and the Jewellery Association of Australia.
