The AMGC-IBSA Regional Victoria and Tasmanian Forums took place this month in Ballarat, Bendigo and Shepparton. Held over three consecutive days from 11 to 13 September, industry from around each region came together to discuss emerging trends in business, skills requirements for the region and opportunities for energy efficiency, along with the latest advanced manufacturing news.
These events include presentations from a broad range of speakers, panel discussions, Q&A and networking sessions and attendees came from local government organisations and councils, along with key industry players.
As part of our presentation, a survey was conducted to assist us in collecting information on Energy Management, the impact of New Technologies and skills on businesses around each region.
These events also provided an opportunity to connect regional companies with growth potential, together with academic business research, business mentors along with corporate and community partners. At the Bendigo forum, AusIndustry provided details to participants about the recently announced Manufacturing Modernisation Fund, which allows small to medium manufacturing business looking to invest in new equipment and technologies to modernise and employ more workers.
