We’re pleased to advise that IBSA has been selected as a Skills Service Organisation for the manufacturing sector.
The Hon Karen Andrews MP, Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills, announced the successful Skills Service Organisations (SSOs) for the manufacturing, automotive, mining and drilling sectors on Thursday, 10 November 2016.
IBSA was selected on the basis of its track record of transparency, flexibility and capability in working with a range of industry sectors.
IBSA will commence operation as an SSO on 1 January 2017.
What are SSOs?
Skills Service Organisations (SSOs) are funded by the Australian Government as independent, professional bodies to work with industry to develop training packages.
SSOs work with their Industry Reference Committees (IRCs) to identify the skills needed by employers and develop occupational skills standards and training packages.
