500 competitors from 16 countries took part in the WorldSkills Australia Global Skills Challenge this month. As part of this event, IBSA hosted international officials and technical delegates from a number of countries for a Networking Breakfast at the Sofitel Hotel; including Russia, the host of WorldSkills 2019.
They were joined by senior executives from TAFE, WorldSkills, IBSA and Manufacturing Industry Reference Committee members. The networking breakfast provided the opportunity to promote the manufacturing sector as well as the critical role industry plays in the development of training products. There were also lively discussions around emerging skill needs across countries, interest in the Australian VET system and insights into the future of training resources.
