Further consultation with industry is being undertaken with industry stakeholders. The Case for Change is scheduled to be submitted to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee later in the year.

Why we are reviewing it

The rationale for updating the training products include: 

  • changes in job roles (lean manufacturing, sustainable practices, automation and advanced manufacturing processes), and 
  • changes needed to respond to the Modern Manufacturing Strategy.

Governance and methodology 

Case for Change development work is overseen by the relevant Industry Reference Committee (IRC). The process provides a robust, evidence-based approach to support the Australian Industry and Skills Committee’s (AISC) decisionmaking process.
