Cultural industries are the lifeblood of a vibrant and creative society. They are also integral to Australia's business success and support industry through a range of essential and innovative services. The five Training Packages relating to Cultural and Related industries are designed to help creative people benefit and profit from their skills.
Australia's diverse cultural industries help shape Australians' perceptions of their culture and identity... They also communicate Australia's ideas about itself to the rest of the world.
The Cultural Industries comprise the following main sectors:
- Community cultural development;
- Entertainment;
- Film, television and radio;
- Library and information services;
- Multimedia;
- Museums, galleries and cultural heritage sites;
- Music;
- Performing arts; and
- Visual arts, craft and design.
There's an art to success. IBSA's qualifications are designed to help creative people get an edge on the competition and learn how to turn their abilities into skills capable of generating personal and professional profit.
Five Training Packages detail competency standards and nationally recognised qualifications for the cultural industries.

Cultural Industries Sector Advisory Committee
IBSA's Sector Advisory Committees (SACs) are a pivotal component of our overarching Stakeholder Engagement strategy which also includes National Project Reference Groups (NPRG). They provide an ideal forum for contemporary industry input and dialogue on industry matters as a means of informing the Board's decisions in important labour market and training areas.

Cultural Industries National Project Reference Groups and Project Advisory Committees
National Project Reference Groups (NPRGs) and Project Advisory Committees (PACs) are developed on a needs-basis and are responsible for providing advice and feedback to IBSA around specific projects. These groups/committees provide input to the development of project reports, units of competencies and other deliverables, and promote the project and its outcomes to other relevant stakeholders. Regular meetings provide a forum for targeted project guidance and industry content expertise; enabling the exchange of ideas, identification of issues, gathering of information, and the development of appropriate solutions.
