Public consultation on the draft Process Manufacturing Case for Change is now closed. Thank you to all industry expert stakeholders who provided feedback to help shape the document. It is now being prepared by IBSA for approval by the Process Manufacturing, Recreational Vehicle and Laboratory IRC and is scheduled to be submitted to the AISC in April 2021.
Why we are reviewing it
The rationale for updating the training products include:
- changes in job roles (lean manufacturing, sustainable practices, automation and advanced manufacturing processes), and
- changes needed to respond to the Modern Manufacturing Strategy.
What we are reviewing
- 4 qualifications:
- 61 MSM units packaged in the process manufacturing qualifications. List of units is available in Attachment A of the draft Case for Change document.
Governance and methodology
Case for Change development work is overseen by the relevant Industry Reference Committee (IRC). The process provides a robust, evidence-based approach to support the Australian Industry and Skills Committee’s (AISC) decision–making process.
